Getting married, yes, but what’s the trend?
When it comes to wedding, people think about the decoration, the theme, the atmosphere. But there are so many I’m sure you wouldn’t say no to a little help. In the following lines, I am going to reveal several of the trends of the moment that I particularly like. As a Wedding Planner, it is essential for me to follow the latest wedding trends.
The “Industrial Chic” trend
I particularly like the “industrial chic” world, where you can combine several materials such as iron, aluminium or copper, in a very sophisticated way. Many configurations are possible: table centerpieces with flowers placed inside big diamonds, or triangles decorated with flowers hanging over the tables. This modern industrial touch is everywhere in the decoration, sprinkled with flowers which sweeten the rendering and make it glow.
The “pastel” trend
These last few years, pastel colors have been omnipresent and very trendy, bringing a fine, discreet and sophisticated touch to weddings. But this is my personal opinion, and each feels fashion differently. The lightness and fluid textures of pastel colors are perfect for the couples who want a soft and refined wedding decoration.
The “Dominant Feature” trend
In contrast with the previous trend, some couples chose to centre their wedding decoration on a dominant color. Usually, this is a vivid color like yellow, purple or dark green. These three tones are very trendy and galvanize the decoration thanks to their imposing color, which illuminates the bouquets or the accessories worn by the couples, such as shoes or boutonnieres… So, unlike pastel colors which sweeten the decoration, the dominant vivid color boosts the wedding.
The “Woody” trend
I can’t conclude this article without mentioning the “woody” phenomenon. A sense of cosiness mixing with strong greenery. Dark colors immersing the guests in a comfy and reassuring atmosphere.
