Organizing a wedding in a Bordeaux castle is always magical for me because it reminds me of my beginnings as a wedding planner. The Bordeaux châteaux were real testing grounds when I started out and I am always delighted to go back. Anne-Claire and Frédéric entrusted me with the organization of their wedding reception.

Located on the heights of Léognan in the south of Bordeaux, Château Larrivet Haut-Brion is a famous vineyard. The wine estate has experienced a real renaissance since the end of the 1980s. Its strength lies in its feminine values carried by the older generations in favor of better gender parity. Today, at the head of the management of Château Larrivet, we can find Émilie Gervoson – one of the 3 daughters of the owners – and Bruno Lemoine, CEO and winemaker. Both bring a new and informed look at the property.

Nestled in the heart of the Pessac-Léognan vineyards, Château Larrivet Haut-Brion hosts receptions for private events. Cocktails and wedding parties are therefore welcome! Two rooms can be privatized for meals and wedding evenings and there is also a 200m2 outdoor deck terrace provided for cocktail parties.

As they have been together for years and are parents to grown-up children, the couple from Bordeaux wanted an intimate and simple wedding like them, surrounded by their loved ones.
The wedding day of Anne-Claire and Frédéric began under a resplendent sun at the beginning of September. After their civil ceremony at the Town Hall, we headed for Château Larrivet.
Once arrived, the sixty guests of the bride and groom were able to discover the beautiful natural and pastel decoration chosen by the latters.
Happy to be present on the wedding day, the children displayed great kindness towards their parents and gave touching speeches. The emotions were palpable with moments full of tenderness, laughter and also tears (of joy).
Anne-Claire’s wedding dress was made just for her. It was NCV Nouvelle couture that had been preparing her custom-made dress for many months to obtain the result desired by Anne-Claire. The designer and Anne-Claire started from scratch.
As for him, Frédéric wore a beautiful wedding suit from the famous brand Hugo Boss.
The wedding day was sweet, homely and filled with good vibes. During the cocktail, a musician started playing the saxophone and kept on playing all evening. The wedding meal conquered the whole congregation with its delicious dishes. The reception venue brought together all the necessary and beautiful spaces. It was a perfect wedding! A few weeks later, I am still in touch with the newlyweds, who wish to stress how wonderful their day was. I am grateful for their positive feedback!
